David Ernst oversees the deployment of Precision, a video campaign platform, and leads implementation of Performance, a suite of capabilities for measuring campaigns. Before joining A+E in 2017, Ernst led measurement and audience insight efforts at Discovery Communications for nearly 10 years, helping to develop the Discovery Engage data and optimization platform. He also served as EVP, Director of Futures & Technologies, at Initiative Media, and SVP, Strategic Media Insights, at Young & Rubicam. He has served on committees at the Advertising Research Foundation, Media Ratings Council, and the Interactive Advertising Bureau, and he initiated Initiative’s exclusive research partnership with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology School of Comparative Media Studies. He graduated from Syracuse University.
